Paramore Announces Self-Titled Album's Expanded Digital Edition

By Victoria Robertson on November 24, 2014

On November 24, Paramore’s April 2013 self-titled blockbuster fourth album will hit stores with an additional edition: an expanded digital edition to be more exact.

This expansion will include previously unreleased material fans are going to go crazy for.

According to a recent press release, this material includes a rare demo, live tracks recorded over the summer at Red Rocks and even a new version of the hit song “Hate To See Your Heart Break.”

This self-titled album was the band’s first new release in three years, and fans certainly got what they were waiting for. The album is bound with smash singles including “Still Into You” and “Ain’t It Fun.” According to the press release, these singles were both top 40, RIAA platinum certified hits.

Of course, Paramore’s success doesn’t end there. The press release states “Ain’t It Fun” “proved one of Paramore’s biggest singles to date, ascending to No. 2 at Top 40 outlets nationwide as well as to the Top 10 on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100.’”

This was the band’s first Top 10 hit ever, and it eventually made its way on the score sheet as Paramore’s highest peaking song on both charts thus far.

With the addition of “Hate To See Your Heart Break,” which now includes a duet with Joy Williams, the “never-before-heard” demo “Tell Me It’s Okay,” two new tracks entitled “Escape Route” and “Native Tongue,” and eight additional tracks recorded live this past summer at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, the CD has only to get better.

And with the original being as successful as it was, I highly recommend looking into the deluxe edition.

The Grammy Award nominated band now has their first No. 1 album, and the press release claims the band “scored an array of No. 1 debuts around the globe” which marks their second consecutive chart-topper (the first being 2009’s “Brand New Eyes”) in “Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.”

As if the past album’s stats on top of the upcoming release weren’t exciting enough, lead singer Hayley Williams has also been named the “first winner of Billboard’s ‘Trailblazer Award,’” which will honor her as a “standout female artist who breaks from convention to make a unique mark and pave the way for new talent.”

Anyone familiar with Williams’ vocal abilities (and her enthusiastic performances for that matter) will be easily convinced of her deserving this award, and any fans of music will understand what a large honor it is for Williams to receive it.

According to the press release, this award will be presented on December 12 “as part of the ninth annual Billboard Women In Music Awards” in New York City.

It’s safe to say the band has big things happening for them, and while fans may have been antsy in waiting three years for a new album, I’m sure they’re appreciative of the excellence with which the band has ensured the self-titled release was put together. I think I speak for all music fans when I say Paramore has created their best album yet.
